Our scouting heritage

In 2009 David Jacobs, a regional Advisor to the Venturer Scout section was asked to take over the annual end of year event “Region Venture” This event was attended by a modest 30 Venturer Scouts from the region and whilst a lot of fun was had, something needed to be done to increase the number for the event.

Thought-out 2010 a significant amount of work was done with the Venturer Scouts to understand what they wanted from scouting and what interested them. What we found was our approach of purely using traditional scouting activities didn’t resonate with the Venturer Scouts of today and our approach needed to be modernized. In 2010 we adjusted the Region Venture program to include a variety of new activities, music, celebrations and fireworks.

As a result of this significant investment in Systems, Infrastructure as skills were needed that was not part of the traditional Scouting portfolio. A significant financial investment was made to be able to support the project and in 2016 Inspira Group Pty Ltd was formed to assist the management of assets used by the Scout Association that did not fit within their traditional portfolio.

Today, Inspira Group Pty Ltd works alongside Scouts Association members to deliver quality events and skills workshops.
